[928uk] 1979 928 problem

In brief, my 928 1979 burst it's oil hose and lost a good amount of oil, after repair and top up the car has developed a noise which sounds very like a faulty hydraulic lifter. After changing all lifters it still has the same noise. Have you any ideas what this could be?
