Bummer Scott
I'm sure we have all had that 'pit of the stomach' feeling at least once
in our driving lives. I remember nailing it in Tubo Supra whilst trying
to get through a line of traffic that was blocking a roundabout and
would not give way. Similarly the car just pirouetted on what I assume
was diesel and no amount of opposite lock would stop it. I was lucky and
came to a halt facing the wrong way without hitting anything, but with a
very red face.

Insurance should be no problem, just tell it as it is. It will be rare
that an insurance company hears the truth. That's what insurance is for.
