[928uk] email problems still?

There are a couple of common reasons for this.

1) ISP's / Relays / Corporate IT types blocking addresses arbitrarily
according to some policy
2) email client deciding its junk

2 - is easy to fix - usually there is a setting somewhere to trust
928.org.uk or something like that.

1 - is something Im trying to fix.

I set the headers properly for 928uk email to denote it as listmail so
it should get through.
The DNS is correctly set up and the IP address has been the same for 2
years - its on a Static IP server.

Many ISP's now are blocking whole ranges of IP addresses from sending
mail due to the influx of mailer viruses.

Stupidly they are also blocking those who have perfectly correctly set
up systems like mine! There does not seem to be an appeal process
although I am encouraging BT to modify its DNS to indicate its static
IP pool correctly to these databases I think its unlikely that they
will do that. (I dont think they understand what I am talking about)

They suggest I route all my email through the ISP SMTP server. I think
this is ridiculous, open to failure, and open to snooping.

I encourage you not to use an email system that blocks email using this
stupid mechanism.

PS any more questions please feel free to ask me off list....
