[928uk] Clutch question

I have a similar problem with my manual S2 i.e. the idle fluctuates or  
hunts.  Sometimes it is steady and on other occasions it hunts from about  300rpm 
to around 800rpm.  Very occasionally the revs dip enough for it to  stall.  
Seems to be more prone to this behaviour after the engine has been  working hard. 
 Generally OK on cold start up.
 
Is this likely to be the idle stabilising valve as well (assuming I have  got 
one!)?
