[928uk] Alarm problems

Hi Angus,

It says this in the manual 'to disable the ultrasonics when the alarm system
is on, activate the alarm in the normal fashion. Within three seconds of the
last arming indicator flash, press the raised handset but a second time. The
indicators will flash a further 3 times, confirming the deactivation of the
ultrasonics. The ultrasonics will be re-instated the next time the alarm
system is next armed.

Let me know whether it works for you.

Richard.

Hi Richard Ive a PA2000 as well in my GT. I bought it for originalitys sake
but its not original at all. Its designed in the UK for Porsche GB.
I dont think its all that good personally. And the remote looks like
something from Maplins not something from Porsche.

It was twice as expensive too as a non Porsche one.

Live and learn I guess

Mines never done that.

Internal motion sensors always seem to trigger the alarm for no apparent
reason. You are supposed to be able to disable the internal sensors with the
remote, however this has no effect and the alarm still triggers.

My remote only has 2 buttons. How do you do that?

When locking the drivers door with the key (which I always do as because of
the false alarms experienced if I activate the system from the fob) the
passenger door does not lock. However they do unlock together.

Locking the drivers side locks the passenger side on mine, then activating
the alarm does nothing. I had to deactivate it twice to make it unlock.
