[928uk] 928 cylinder block recoating with nicasil

As someone has already said, the 928 bores are not plated.
The document (which you may have seen now) which describes the refinishing
process, I believe, explains it.
The problem that I can see, is that the welding could alter the silicon
crystal distribution in the area of the weld.
You will need to find a welder who is familiar with the high silicon content
alloy, and someone with the experience and machinery to refinish the bores.
Or, fit liners.
