Evening all!
Just back from a very pleasant driving holiday in France. Obviously gutted to have missed Beaulieu,
well done to all those involved in organising it, sounds like a great time was had by all. Fingers
crossed for next year!
The GT was on its best holiday behaviour with 2500 trouble free miles in 3 weeks. A good mixture of
motorway cruising, mountain driving and town driving (including much fun lost in the Nimes one-way
system on a Friday rush hour!) returned over 23mpg. :)
Testament to the seats comes from my other half. At nearly 5 months pregnant she's starting to find
our sofa uncomfortable but an almost straight 8 hours in the 928 - no problem! I'm sure I've never
been in a more comfortable car.
French roads good fun, why are their motorways SO much better than ours? And where do they do hide
all the lorry traffic?? Only one squeaky moment (a full 'EEK' on the wifeometer) meeting a logging
wagon on a sharp bend - brakes and sticky Conti tyres saved the day!
Lots of holiday pics (i.e. 47 pics of the 928 with different French backgrounds!!) - may post a few
if anyone is sad enough to want to see them.
Sorry for all the waffle, had such a fantastic 928 driving time and just wanted to share it with
others who understand!
Gareth
