So could the microlight actually get off the ground with the weight of its
batteries? ;-)
 
I think the milk-float-928 has 26 [climate-controlled!] batteries!! That's
not going to help the performance!

A few years back I got involved with a group at Uni' who put together an
electrically powered microlight. Admittedly it did only weigh 450kg but when
we did the trial runs at Kemble the acceleration was awesome. I was filming
from a V8 powered chase vehicle and it out ran us down the runway.
