Kal,
I would be interested in the name of the company, currently my Aircon is not working and is my project for this year as long as it is not too expensive to fix. I know there is a leak somewhere because Strasse re-gassed the car when I bought it last year, but soon after the AC stopped working. I know the car has not been converted to R134a, which concerned me when Strasse re-gassed the system. So the first job is to find the leak, but I had been warned that it could be expensive if the failure is due to the condenser.
Thanks
Luke

Ouch! Another top tip: there's a place in Leeds (can't remember the name but will get it if anyone's interested next time I drive past) sold me a remanufactured condenser for £35+ Vat when mine needed replacing last year when I swapped over to the new gas. Sorry David, a bit late for you I know.

Charlie
I've recently changed the condenser and converted to R134a.
MotorClimate / Compressor Tech in Birmingham did the work. They can supply remanufactured compressors. Their condensers were not OE and were not the cheapest. Porsch-apart supplied OE for about 250GBP (inc VAT & Del) so I kept the mounting hardware standard - auto & manual differ. MotorClimate work for main dealers, supply the gassing equipment and train dealers undertaking ac work in-house. See http://www.motorclimate.co.uk/. They also advertise in Porsche Post and give presentations at regional meets.
Condenser removal looks easy although there are pitfalls. The bottom fasteners have captive nuts held into the condenser by weak aluminium - fine when new. The bolts are accessible from beneath although you'll need to remove the engine oil cooler (don't disconnect). These nuts / bolts corrode so that the condenser can no longer hold the nuts captive - if this happens, you'll need to saw the bottom mounting bolts (pig of a job).
Top tip: Spray PlusGas onto these bottom fasteners long before starting the job.
