Well here is an update of information regarding the increasing number of
pending PROSECUTIONS relating to the sale and use of iTrip and similar
products. Belkin is already asking dealers not to offer their Tunecast
device, and don't officially ship in the UK.

Although the control and licensing of such devices has moved from the
Radio
Agency to OFCOM, the regulations remain the same - basically it is
illegal
to use the iTrip in the UK.

The DTI is now involved in policing this area and some of the latest
actions
follow:

1. A case of a company that was selling Carbaby (an FM device for mobile
phones) in shopping centres. They were raided by DTI who seized all his
stock. This was last November at the height of the press coverage on
mobile
phone use in cars.

He was prosecuted under the RTTE regulations (it is an offence not to
label
an item as compliant) and not actually breaking section 2 of the WTA.

2. One UK web dealer selling iTrips & Tunecast had a visit from the DTI
who
tried to gain access to the premises. When they were not invited in,
the
DTI told the dealer that they would return with a warrant.

3. Another UK web dealer sold a Tunecast to someone who lived next to a
Taxi
company who operated a low band VHF radio system. The Taxi company
complained to the DTI, who worked back up the chain to the dealer.

As Griffin Technology authorised UK partner, we offer this updated
information for your guidance.
