[928uk] advice please

Hello there folks,

I'm in the market for a manual 928 and see there is one on the autotrader
for £3,950 in Leicester. The seller is a trader (Leicestershire car sales)
who does not specialise in Porsche. Does anyone know anything about the
dealer or indeed about the car itself?

It is a 1983 'S' with 148K on the clock. The big selling point is that it
had an engine rebuild approx. 10,000 miles ago at a cost of £5400. On this
last point I didn't think it was possible to re-bore a 928 block due to the
coated liners. I though an engine rebuild meant a new block basically. 

The service book has been fully stamped up since the car was new but it
appears there are precious few receipts to back up work carried out other
than a new steering rack in 1999.

The car looks good in the photos but I know photos can be misleading. 

Any advice on what to look for in particular on this model of 928?

The car comes with a current MOT (till October 2004) and tax till end of
March 2004

If the car was local I wouldn't hesitate to go and look at it but it
involves a round trip of at least 500 miles so I want to get as much advice
as possible before making the trip.
