[928uk] Summons and other

This is bizarre.
I came back today to make a post about mobile speed traps and find loads
of posts on cameras.
I passed a camera in the back of a van on the hard shoulder last week on
the M180 - couldn't tell you exactly what my speed was but it was over
70. These vans are not well marked and the only indication is a flap in
the rear door.
Bugger me I have done it again today - on the A4 between Devizes and
Marlborough. I was so busy looking down the road to make sure the road
was clear past the truck in front I didn't see the camera until I was
actually overtaking. The van was in a lay-by on the other side of the
road.
I assume the cameras are bi-directional Hans? Had I slammed the anchors
on it could have been dangerous. Should have seen it I know - I saw the
van in peripheral vision, but not the flap down. I was overtaking, so
probably accelerating through 60 or 70 so I think I am screwed.
I assume it is a laser device, what distance is the focal length set to?
How do they perform when recording an overtaking vehicle coming towards
them?
From having nil points on me licence for bloody years I could be up to
at least 6 within 2 weeks. These bastards aren't even coppers. They
should be firebombed. Or at least be painted a very bright orange - that
is if they are a deterrent and not a revenue collection service.
Very pissed off
Lastly, as I haven't had a summons yet, does the summons have to get to
me personally in 14 days or just the lease company (wasn't in the 928)?
