I'd go along with a handheld pocket PC. I'm using the latest version of
Tom Tom Navigator on mine it works very well. Add to that the free
add-ons like Checkpoint notifier you can get it to notify you of almost
anything. I have downloaded various speed camera databases that all
seem pretty good. They have shown the camera's that I have come across.
The kids like the fast food add-ons like McDonalds and Burger King too.
You can also purchase Trafcam for them. This is like the subscription
based systems of Origin, Road Angel etc.... This entitles you to regular
updates and is more accurate than the freebie ones.
Of course the cruise control is very good at stopping you speeding too..
All the best
Mark

Tim and anyone else.
Hand held PCs have come a long way and so has software GPS packages.
Dell are doing a great package including TOM TOM GPS mapping. Add in
databases and software at little cost and the system is a great buy.
Voice guidance, warnings, all sorts of stuff. Totally legal anywhere
and serves more than one purpose. Only missing radar detection, but
that may be illegal soon.
Try these URLs: http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/menu_gpsspeed.php
AND the Dell UK site for hand held systems www.dell.co.uk for heir deal
(half what HP want).
Clyde (I tried a system last week and it was great and my neighbour just
set up a combined solution including camera sites and hotspots which he
gets weekly from an annual subscription.)
