Definitely worth joining PCGB. They have regional, national and inter-national events. You can attend track days, some superb driving events like the Isle of Man and factory visits.
You also get a monthly magazine. 
Admittedly, some regions are better than others. Here in the North-West we have a fairly active region with 928 owners. 
All in all, considering the annual subscription costs less than a tank of petrol it is difficult to see why any 928 owner would not join.
