Happy New Year to all.
I am new to the list, having now owned my 83 S2 auto for almost 2 weeks now and am still finding my feet and would appreciate racking your brains. I live in Bristol and wondered if anyone lives within a 50mile radius of me, as I'd like someone to look over the car and advise me of anything that needs attention. Also just to talk to another owner. It has a pretty comprehensive service history and 118k, but you never know. I'll obviously come to you. Would be happy to travel further as I just love driving it. One thing that concerns me is all the recent emails regarding the flex plate, hopefully being an 83, it doesn't have one.
Also, the seller told me the car has an immobiliser, activated when the key is removed, but no button ? How can I prove this ?
Can anyone recommend a local specialist, who can service/look after the car for me, as my knowledge is not great.
What type of alarm can anyone suggest, as it has to have a Thatcham Cat 1 for insurance purposes ?
