There has been much discussion on oils recently, but I am going to 
replace the oils in the tranny and rear axle (auto). The transmission 
whines very slightly, more so when cold. Is this common? If not are 
there any particular recommendations for rear axle oil to reduce noise?

I will do the flexplate at the same time. In a CAT equipped car do you 
have to drop the exhaust off the manifold to get at the bellhousing?
