I could be wrong but Bleach rots some materials ?
Also a caution many year ago I tried dying a pair of cloth seats to
black to match the car (OK it was my student car a Renault 5, not a
Porsche ) result after loads of attempts a darker shade of brown, and
lots of empty Dylon boxes.

Why not get some heavy duty cotton,(old style tent or sail material) cut
it using the other as a template, dye the cotton if needed ? and then
fit the current hardware (pole, connectors, and zip) for the cover to
it. My dear old mum did this for mine. Worst case you can re fit the
pole and other bits without wrecking you genuine cover ?

Subject: [928uk] Luggage Cover - Drastic Measures

I have a dark blue luggage cover which is stained with some pink marks
(possibly come into contact with some chemicals in the past).

Anyway, as I have a linen interior I was thinking of maybe bleaching it
in
the bath (the luggage cover!) to try and get it white and stain free,
then
dyeing it linen colour.

Would this work or is it hair-brained stupidity?
