IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
I/we have discussed in the past the possibility of a very large 928 meeting.
We now have over 300 subscribers to 928UK, 261 subscribers to 928 GB and
over 500 cars on PCG 928 register. Obviously there is a lot of cross over
there but with those kind of numbers we should easily be able to arrange the
first 928 meeting in the UK to break the 100 barrier.
This is reinforced with enthusiasm now demonstrated for the 928 by the
increased numbers at meetings. 80 cars at Tilford, 63 cars at the Merry
Miller.
With a view to breaking the 100 barrier Rob Burrell, Chris Clark and myself
have come up with the idea of a spring meeting. Clearly over 100 cars
presents us with a logistics problem but we think we have the ideal venue
with Beualieu. Please read below to see what will appear in the January
edition of Porsche Post. Numbers are limited and STRICTLY admission by
ticket only. We expect the places to book up soon. So to ''avoid
disappointment'' book now even though the event is a few months away. Please
send Rob details of your car - model and colour.
This will of course be a static event. I know there are a few people out
there who would like to see more 928s on track. I hope to arrange a decent
number of 928s at a track event next year. If you are interested e-mail me
off list but please check your insurance position first. I don't want to
find half my list disappears because owners can not get insurance.

JANUARY PORSCHE POST item:-
A weekend in Hampshire featuring Porsche 928s is planned for May 2004, all
members of the PCGB 928 Register, 928UK and 928 GB are invited.
It is planned to visit a local car manufacturer of particular interest on
the Saturday, with overnight (Travel Inn) accommodation available as
required on a first come basis.
The Event Arena at The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu in Hampshire has
been booked for Sunday 23rd May to host a display of 928s within the museum
grounds. The museum have kindly offered a discounted admission rate to all
those with a 928 on display, including all passengers. On this day we are
aiming to break the 928 attendance record of 80 cars set at Tilford last
year, it would be wonderful to see over 100 928s at Beaulieu.
All 928s are invited on the Sunday, numbers will be strictly limited for the
Saturday visit and allocated on a first come basis.
Please register your interest with Rob Burrell, e-mail 928 at robburrell.co.uk
or fax 01489 578883
