Review
I am impressed. ( 500 odd quid and 1 ignition coil, 2 king leads, 2 distributor caps, 2 rotor arms, 2 supports, 16 bolts, 10 Spire clips, 6 washers, 1 Throttle cable, 2 terminals, and 2 terminal covers later my 89 GT is like new. I asked them to do some tidying up too and they did it all. I used to think it wasnt quite as responsive as my 88 SE in some areas. Now theres no doubt its almost identical. Im so pleased and I am thrilled with it again.
Northways description was as follows: Power loss, trace fault to O/S ignition coil failure due to burnt away king lead, check distributor caps and rotor arms - also burnt. Supply and fit new ignition coil, king leads, distributor caps and rotor arms. Refix engine undertray, front spoiler, and rear pu braces, Supply and fit undertray rear fixings, fix new bolts washers and clips. Replace main throttle cable and adjust as necessary. lubricate lower cable and pivots. AC Compressor feed wire and connectors bared. repair with heat shrink and replace connectors and covers.
Im amazed at the throttle cable too. Its like a new car. Really. Well done Northway!
Customer quote
"Just had a new Power Steering pump fitted at Northway (Had to come from Stuttgart - ouch!) and your man Ray had a fiddle about while he had the car (said it was noisy) and discovered a problem with an air hose - which he fixed and threw in with the labour! Car much quieter, customer delighted, top man Ray Northway! "- Tony, Nov 2004
Heres a grainy cameraphone pic of my car and Alan B's (both 89 GT's) at Northways
