Friday 28th July 2006
Friday morning saw me arrive at 9:30 and the car park was already full. I counted 61 Porsche 928's 2 911's a Cayman S, a Cayenne S, a Porsche 550a replica and a 924 Carrera GT. Does anyone have any better data? Please let me know.
It was a very well organised day out with hardly ever more than half a dozen cars on track at any one time. When I left there had been no prangs but a few spins and offs as people found their limits and their cars limits or both.

Track Day information
If this is your first time of seeing this it is a whole day of blasting around a racing circuit at whatever speed you like without Old Bill breathing down your neck with a speed camera, or having some nerd in a buzz bomb trying to take you on at the lights, or even coming round the corner on the wrong side of the road.
Its an absolute blast, as anyone who has done it will tell you and it cost £118 (£100 +VAT) in 2006.
After the amazing success of the 2005 track day and the 2006 track day I expect we will try to have another 928 trackday in 2007 at Castle Combe race track near Chippenham in Wiltshire.
If you have ever wanted to feel the way a 928 performs and handles when not restricted by cameras, police, and morons coming the other way, well, now you can !
This is not a race day, but a track day experience, organised by novices, supervised by experienced track officials where you can go as fast or as slow as you like. It is entirely up to you, and no one will point and snigger, because most of us have not done this ourselves before!
