For Sale, Porsche 928 GTS, Metallic Black, Manual, £10,000
For Sale, Porsche 928 GTS, Metallic Black, Manual, £10,000

Details

1992 GTS Metallic Black 104,000 miles Owned by me since 2002. Converted from Auto to Manual by Chris Sanderson in June last year. At this time the Torque Tube bearings where replaced. I have also replaced the instrument cluster with the manual version. Oil consumption is around 1 litre per 800 miles.. it used to be better when it was an Auto, but you get further up the rev range with the manual box :o) It's over due a service so you would need to factor this in to your budget. Cambelt and rollers and water pump replaced at 97,000... but this was in 2004. Engine mounts where replaced in 2003 (I think) by LoeBank along with new silicon sump gasket. Recently the car has been fitted with Koni externally adjustable shocks with Eibach springs. Plus poly swaybar mounts (greas-able) from 928 Intl. (there's a story here that I will explain to anyone who's interested in buying the car). I would describe the general condition of the car as Good. It has had some paint, and has some corrosion on the front offside wing. The interior is probably above average and in black. However there are one or two annoying squeaks which I've never got round to sorting out. Tyres are good.. new michelin's on the front and Kumo's on the rear (they have good tread depth but are 3 to 4 years old). The car has an X pipe fitted from Richard A. It passed MOT last year with this in place...

Porsche 928 PSD PDF Print E-mail

1990 Model S4 and GT cars had PSD as standard replacing the mechanical Limited slip differential

The PSD has an accelerometer (under passenger seat) to allow it to operate at speed under cornering. Good for track use to allow you to get power down without spinning the inside wheel when exiting a corner

The PSD has a (brake fluid) reservoir in the rear of the left rear wing, along with a pump, pressure accumulator, and valves, then the fluid goes to a clutch type slave cylinder on the right top of the differential.

Thanks to Scott for sending this in. Sorry its rotten quality. But the script and info is really worth the viewing. Ive asked the factory for permission to post it and if I can make a better one from the original but got no reply. Well if they dislike it being here I will take it down but the information is so useful and can't possibly be sensitive - its a marketing video.
